Curtis McDonald signs new Barry Town contract

Barry Town United are delighted to confirm that Curtis McDonald has signed a new contract with the football club.

Curtis moved to Jenner Park from Chippenham Town last summer and became an instant fixture in the centre of defence. He made a total of 25 appearances in his debut campaign and scored once, a fantastic bullet header against Caernarfon Town.

The 33-year-old’s experience in the backline was clear throughout the season, as he was strong and confident when making tackles, blocks and clearances, while he also showed an attacking side when filling in at left-back.

Gavin Chesterfield said: “Curt proved last year that he brings much quality and maturity to the side. I’m delighted to be working with him again, he’s had a good career and his experience brings a lot to our dressing room.”
