Barry Town United can confirm that we will be playing in a new green kit for Saturday’s playoff semi-final against Caernarfon Town.
While we are the home team for the tie, both of Caernarfon’s home and away strips have been deemed too similar to our yellow home kit. This was also the case last weekend as we played in red for our game against Huw Griffith’s side on the last day of the regular season.
Instead of playing in red again this weekend, we will be wearing a different shirt, and it’s colour is key to our identity: Linnets green.
Green was the colour of our home strip for many years and in recent seasons it has been the primary colour of our away shirts. We also of course qualified for Europe against Bala Town two years ago wearing green, so here’s hoping that it brings us similar luck on Saturday afternoon.
