Barry Town United are delighted to confirm that Rhys Kavanagh has signed a new contract with the football club.
Rhys moved to Jenner Park in January and was a key figure in attack in the second half of the 2020/21 campaign, impressing with his pace and skill both on the left wing and upfront.
He notched his first goal for the club against Caernarfon Town on the final day of the regular season and made a total of 15 appearances as he returned to football following struggles with injuries. We are now excited to see what he can do in the new campaign.
Gavin Chesterfield said: “Since joining us in January, Rhys has showed that our styles of play are closely matched and I’m excited by his potential following a full pre-season, something he hasn’t had the benefit from in recent years. He’s a player that supporters will enjoy watching and hopefully a good season awaits.”
