We are delighted to announce that our Share a Smile campaign has raised an amazing £8,500.
Since the campaign launched three weeks ago, the support has been superb from everyone associated with the club and beyond. From fancy dress training sessions in the academy and ladies teams to the first team squad donating a percentage of their wage, everyone at every level of the club has contributed to this incredible fundraising effort.
The campaign itself raised £7,021.50 and this evening that figure has been generously increased to £8,500 by our chairman Mark Barrett and his wife Jane.
The money raised will now be used to purchase specific gifts for children who have been put forward by the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Social Services team. After a difficult year, we hope this provides them with a smile this Christmas.
Thank you to everyone who has fundraised, donated or played any part in our Share a Smile campaign. This really shows what our club can achieve when we all pull together!
Chairman Mark Barrett commented:
“I’m a very proud chairman this evening. The club as a whole have pulled together to raise a huge amount of money. This will put smiles on so many children’s faces on Christmas Day. Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to fundraise and to those who have donated.”
