This is an exciting opportunity to join the small media team at Cymru Premier club Barry Town United.
You will play an important role in the off-field running of the club and ensure that we have a strong presence both online and in the local community.
It is a voluntary position, but is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the sports industry and be part of an ambitious football club.
The role would be well-suited to a university student studying journalism, communications or marketing, or anyone else interested in football and keen to gain experience.
Much of the work is able to be done from home, but you will be required to attend home and away matches when possible, in addition to the occasional training session on a Tuesday or Thursday.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Producing written copy for the club website and matchday programme, including match reports, match previews, press releases and other important club information.
- Keeping the club website updated with fixtures and results and player details.
- Helping interview the manager and players for the club’s YouTube channel.
- Posting regularly on social media channels, including live updates of home and away games, new signing announcements and the promotion of key club material.
