Barry Town United vs Cefn Druids| JD Cymru Premier | Match Preview

Tomorrow, Cefn Druids travel to Barry to face a Town side unbeaten in our last 5 games, sitting 8th in the JD Cymru Premier League.

Indeed, the Town have not lost a game since October 12th and have managed to score 14 goals in our last 5 fixtures. Captain Kayne Mclaggon’s 9 goals in his last 7 games have been crucial to Barry’s recent success and have, in fact, earned our number 7 the JD Cymru Player of the Month award for October.

In the reverse fixture earlier on in the season, we travelled to The Rock and ran out 4-1 victors after Clayton Green and Mclaggon shared the goals with a brace each. Our opponents also failed to secure any points against us in the 2020/21 season, as we completed the double over the Druids.

The side from North Wales have struggled so far this season, picking up only 2 points from their opening 12 games of the season. Nevertheless, the two draws have come against a strong Bala Town side away from home and, in their most recent match, the Ancients were able to hold Flint Town United to a 1-1 draw despite being reduced to 10 men.

Kick-off will be at 14:30 at Jenner Park and, as always, your support would be much appreciated by all at the club.
