We begin phase two of the JD Cymru Premier this afternoon with a trip to Caernarfon Town (kick-off 2:30pm).

We head into the Championship Conference with plenty of confidence and momentum thanks to two consecutive wins at the end of phase one. After a superb 6-2 win over Bala Town at Jenner Park, we travelled to Cardiff Metropolitan University on Easter Friday and claimed a 2-1 victory.

Nat Jarvis opened the scoring at Cyncoed just after halftime before Emlyn Lewis equalised two minutes later, but Evan Press popped up with the winning strike in the 90th minute – his third goal in two games.

It means that we begin phase two in fourth place, six points behind Bala – knowing that third place will secure an automatic European spot this season after the cancellation of the JD Welsh Cup.

Caernarfon were beaten 4-1 by The New Saints on Easter Friday – Mike Parker being sent off to add to their woes – but they still qualified for the Championship Conference in sixth place due to Haverfordwest County’s loss to Penybont.

A great run of form earned the Cofis the right to play in the top six, as they were on an eight-game unbeaten run before their defeat at Park Hall. This is the third successive season since their promotion in 2018 that they can call themselves a top half team.

Goals in the last ten minutes from Jack Kenny and Sam Jones earned a 2-0 win for Caernarfon when we visited The Oval in December, but we had been victorious at Jenner Park three months earlier as a Kayne McLaggon brace and bullet header from Curtis McDonald secured a 3-1 win.

Due to a Welsh Government and FAW ruling, games must currently be played behind-closed-doors until stated otherwise. Your support will be hugely missed at The Oval, but you will be able to follow this afternoon’s fixture through live updates on our Twitter page.
