We will be looking to continue our winning start to the Championship Conference in the JD Cymru Premier when we return to Jenner Park to host The New Saints this evening (kick-off 7:45pm).
The last two weeks have seen Town secure successive victories away from home thanks to late goals – Evan Press smashed home in the 90th minute to defeat Cardiff Met at the end of phase one, before Curtis Hutson popped up in the 92nd minute against Caernarfon Town on Saturday to ensure we started phase two with three points.
Add in a 6-2 victory over Bala Town in our last game at Jenner Park, and we are on a run of three straight victories – a streak we aim to continue tonight.
Our form means that we sit fourth in the Cymru Premier table, just three points behind Bala as the race for European football hots up.
Meanwhile, TNS are locked in a race for the league title as always and currently sit top of the table, but are only ahead of Connah’s Quay Nomads only goal difference.
Former Woking boss Anthony Limbrick was appointed as the club’s new manager 11 days ago and has been entrusted to win the trophy back from Andy Morrison’s side.
Limbrick oversaw a 1-0 win over Bala in his first game in charge on Saturday thanks to Ryan Brobbel’s early goal.
It means that TNS have a winning streak of their own to protect – the Oswestry-based side have triumphed in their last four matches.
We were beaten in both of our phase one meetings with The Saints earlier this season, but have only lost once against them in three phase two meetings since our promotion in 2017.
Due to a Welsh Government and FAW ruling, games must currently be played behind-closed-doors until stated otherwise. Your support will be hugely missed at Jenner Park, but you will be able to follow this evening’s fixture through live updates on our Twitter page.
